AFROHEAT
AFROHEAT is BMM’s high-voltage Afro-dance night: a warm-skin, waist-moving, rhythm-driven celebration of Black sound and Black bodies in motion. A space created by us, for the diaspora, and open to the full Black LGBTQ+ family: men, women, trans, non-binary, queer and everyone who moves with respect for the culture.
The soundtrack stays locked in Black rhythms: Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, Kuduro, Highlife, and everything that makes the room lift. No posing. No standing still. Just sweat, movement, and that shared pulse you only get when the whole space is dancing as one.
This isn’t a costume night. It’s a cultural release; a space where energy, heat and connection link everyone on the floor.
Black queer women, trans siblings, masc, femme, soft, bold: everyone brings their own energy to the rhythm, and AfroHeat brings it together.
It’s a dance.
It’s flirtation.
It’s Black joy with the volume turned all the way up.
Where the beat hits first.
Where the room gets hotter.
Where the diaspora comes alive.
That’s AfroHeat.
