BMM Carnival Weekend 2026: Our Biggest Weekend Yet

BMM Carnival Weekend has always held a special place in the Black Meat Market calendar, but 2026 took it to an entirely different level.
Across one weekend in London, we delivered 12 different events and experiences, worked alongside four partners, introduced new concepts, brought different communities together and welcomed more than 1,000 people across the weekend. It became our largest and most ambitious Carnival programme to date and one that showed just how much the community around BMM has grown.
What made the weekend particularly special was its variety. Carnival wasn’t reduced to one big party. We created a programme that let people experience the weekend in different ways, from smaller private gatherings and game nights to daytime experiences, sex-positive spaces and major club events.
And, of course, the weekend wouldn’t have been the same without the talent who joined us. Ty Santana, Yadie Style and Mattheus were all part of Carnival Weekend 2026, adding another dimension to what we were creating. Bringing talent together with our community has always been about more than simply putting familiar names on a flyer. It is about creating opportunities for people to meet, connect and share the same spaces over an entire weekend. Having them with us helped make an already packed Carnival programme even more memorable.
We also got to see another part of the wider Black Legacy Project family step forward. MelanHaus presented Summer Yard, creating its own space during Carnival Weekend and bringing a different social energy to the programme. It was an important moment for a growing brand designed to create social experiences for people of colour, and seeing that community come together during one of London’s biggest weekends gave us plenty to build on.
Black Meat Market also brought Uncensored into the Carnival programme. It gave us another opportunity to explore what a BMM club experience could look and feel like, taking the identity we have built through our private events and translating some of that energy into a larger nightlife environment.
One of the biggest moments of the entire weekend, however, came through our continued partnership with Deviant. The previous year, our Carnival collaboration had welcomed more than 300 people. In 2026, that number grew to over 700 attendees. For us, that growth was significant. It demonstrated what can happen when two communities work together, learn from the previous year and return with something considerably bigger.
And yes, delivering 12 events in a single weekend came with challenges. An undertaking of that size was never going to be completely effortless. But those challenges also gave us lessons that will influence how we plan, partner and produce future Carnival Weekends. What matters most is that the weekend happened, the community showed up, and thousands of individual moments were created across those four days.
More than 1,000 people passed through our events across Carnival Weekend 2026. Some came for one experience. Others spent much of the weekend with us. Some had known BMM for years, while others were walking into one of our spaces for the first time.
That is perhaps the part we appreciate most.
Every ticket purchased, every journey into London, every person who brought a friend, every talent who joined us, every partner who trusted us with an idea and every person who simply showed up helped make the weekend what it became.
BMM Carnival Weekend has grown far beyond a single event for Black Meat Market. It has become one of the moments in our calendar when we can experiment, collaborate and bring different parts of our community together on a much larger scale.
To everyone who joined us in 2026: thank you. We built something special together.
And Carnival Weekend isn’t finished growing.
