Pre-Summer Series: April & May by Black Meat Market

As we move closer to summer, Black Meat Market is introducing its Pre-Summer Series, a full calendar of experiences across April and May designed to build momentum, connection and energy within the community.

The series begins with April Nights, taking place across Birmingham, Leeds and London. Starting on 3rd April in Birmingham, before moving to Leeds on 24th April and closing in London on 25th April, these are private, curated spaces created specifically for Black gay, bi and DL men. Each city carries its own atmosphere but the intention remains the same: to create environments where black men can connect, be present, and move freely without outside pressure. These are not casual or open walk-in events, but controlled spaces where familiarity, intimacy and shared understanding shape the experience.

From there, the series moves into a more contained and immersive format with Mandem Freakhauz, taking place from 1st–4th May in London. This is a private house weekender, bringing together a small, selected group into one shared environment over four days and three nights. Unlike one-night events, this experience is built around continuity: staying in the same space, interacting over time and allowing the energy to develop naturally. It represents a shift into something more focused, where presence and connection take priority over everything else.

The Pre-Summer Series then expands into its final phase with May Meltdown, running from 22nd–25th May in London. This is a multi-event weekend experience, bringing together several moments across four days. While April Nights and Freakhauz focus on smaller, more controlled environments, May Meltdown opens things up into a wider format, creating a full weekend of activity that bridges the transition into the summer season. It brings together different energies, different formats, and a larger collective presence, while still maintaining the core of what Black Meat Market represents.

Across all of these experiences, the direction remains clear. Black Meat Market continues to create spaces centred around Black men, focused on connection, intimacy and shared energy, while building a consistent presence across different formats and locations. The Pre-Summer Series is not just a set of events: it is a progression, moving from city to city, from smaller environments into larger ones, and building towards what comes next.

April and May mark the beginning of that shift.
